At Orleans, we have moved beyond traditional direct instruction to embrace methods where learning is guided by children’s interests, minimizing rote memorization and mental arithmetic, and where teachers facilitate rather than simply instruct. Recognizing the unique learning styles of each child, we prioritize personalized, cognitive, and experiential learning over traditional rote methods.

However, our approach does not entirely dismiss the value of direct instructive learning, as it remains an important aspect of a comprehensive educational experience. By placing more emphasis on this balanced and inclusive methodology, we ensure that our students are equipped with diverse skills and knowledge, fostering a deeper understanding and a lifelong love of learning.
